LLED 350 – Classroom Discourses: Elementary
Instructor: Roxanne Madryga
LLED 350 introduces teacher candidates to a variety of approaches on how children develop as language learners and prepares teacher candidates with the skills and attitudes required to implement language and literacy programs appropriate for the variety of learning needs of children in elementary classrooms. The class is based around the fact that children learn language and literacy at different rates and therefore, the need for differentiated instruction is of the utmost importance. Some of the literacy programs that are introduced in this course are guided reading (K-12) and literature circles (4-12).
